My baby is too young to study English...I've heard kids should learn to pronounce the sounds of native language properly at first, & only then you may start teach them foreign language. Of course, it doesn't concern kids, who are brought up in bilingual family. But it is not our case, so we're waiting for the right moment & we'll start as soon as possible ;-)

I started speaking English to my son when he was only 3. It was like a game, a fun for him. he enjoyed it very much. he is 8 already but he still loves learning English.

my little girl is only 8 months old, but she can hear when talk to her in English. She loves the sound "r" a lot. When I do this roaring thing, she goes crazy - she starts screaming and laughing so hard that she can't even stop for like 5 minutes.
I just saw these special cards in some store with English words so I thought may be it's a good thing to show her these cards now so that she'd memorize them... Or may be that's not a very good idea...

I think it would be better to show her those cards in Russian :)

I made the cards with the names of Smeshariki heroes, and my son when he was two used to chew the cards, but I was surprised when he started reading them correctly at the age of three

Hello everybody! My name is Julia. I'm 24. Married. I have a son. He is 1,6. His name is Ilya. I'm English teacher at school. But now i'm sitting with my son and go to school once a week. I think it's a good idea to communicate in English with others who speak English. Thanks for this topic!!!

Does he or she want to learn it on his\her own? In my classes with elementary students I always use Raymond Murphy"s grammar. It's the best thing for practising grammar
